The Spaghetti Dinner Benefit hosted by the New Gloucester Republican Committee wants to thank each and every member of the community who came together on November 5th, 2022 to help raise funds for the First Congregational Church’s emergency heating assistance fund. It was wonderful to see the members of the community enjoying a meal together, sharing in conversations, and helping to donate to such a wonderful cause.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and businesses* who helped put this event together. A special thank you to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 135 who helped with the serving and greeting of approximately 100 guests that came to the dinner.
We are pleased to announce that as of this evening the New Gloucester Republican Committee was able to raise $10,166.10 in donations from this evenings dinner, and also from donations made by numerous businesses* in the community. Pending a few more donations that are coming in, the New Gloucester Republican Committee will give another update on how much the Emergency Heating Assistance Fund will now receive for this years needs.
Moving forward we will continue to serve the community by doing an annual dinner the first Saturday of every November for the emergency heating fund as a way to help our neighbors.
If you were unable to attend the benefit dinner, but would still love to contribute to the heating assistance fund, please make checks payable to First Congregational Church, with Emergency Heating Assistance Fund in the memo line.
